Friends, join us on August 18th, 2018 where you will experience talent for a good cause. Our play is based on the scripts of the legendary P.L.Deshpande’s “Vatvat”
Purushottam Lakshman Deshpande, popularly known as Pu la, is one of the topmost writers in the history of Marathi language. He saw day-today things in a different light and brought comedy from the same. It was his great ability to find the oddities in the normal life around him and express them in a super humorous way. Pu La, an astute reader of people, their idiosyncrasies and overall life described how human life is overwhelmed with “vatvat”.
“Vatvat” literally means excessive talking/noise. Humans by nature have penchant for talking rather than actions. Pu La’s skillful writing presents this fallacy with his trademark comedy and puns while recreating the era of 70s. He illustrates how humans waste important moments of life on meaningless exchange of words even in the fields of Politics, Social Welfare and Romance. This play reveals the fallacy of ordinary men and women in manner and makes the audience accept their weakness with a smile on their face.
Enjoy this comedy play and join us to make difference in the lives of farmers and their families.
