Our Mission

Giving back is among the most important and valuable things anyone can do.

Save Indian Farmers (SIF) promotes identification and analysis of important issues affecting farmers, awareness about farmer suicides, help the families of the victims by funding sustainable means of livelihood and projects that will help farmers build and progress in traditional or newer methods of farming and information.

In short term:

We will continue to help the widows of the farmers who did not get any government aid by investing in an entrepreneurial way so they could stand on their feet and lead their family out of poverty.

Ongoing and long term:

We are actively working with experts on the ground and partnering with new NGO’s to identify issues related to farming and agriculture that can be addressed in a year’s time, and may include debt, cost of seeds and fertilizers, equipment, water issues, technology, education and information as well as identify government schemes to aid the above trouble pockets.

Since 2012, we have expanded into Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bundelkhand (MP) and Uttarakhand with some of the successful ideas like borewell recharge, drumstick plantation, Educational project Udaan etc. We have also partnered with more NGOs, applied for corporate grants and have increased the reach and scale of our fundraisers. We are successfully working on rural skill development as well as counselling farmers and their families and children to empower them with knowledge.
